The Saalfield Publishing Company, Akron,, 1949 HBDJ, 1949. GOOD+/ VG, AS-IS,Stiff Wraps. Book Condition: Very Good. Carbe, Nino, and Schenk, A. (illustrator). 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Saalfield reissue of the Duenewld original, reillustrated by Carbe with animations by Schenk. This version with only two movable pages. Stiff card covers are overlaid by a dust wrapper-like cover that is folded into the binding (not removable). Hinges are tight. Pages unmarked. Light wear to the book and some darkening to the white portions of the cover. The front movable has a short tape repair, and the tab is short, but Santa can still go down the chimney. The rear movable is in very good condition. Much more difficult to locate than the Duenewald original. Dustjacket NOT removable adhered to Cover, , Hardcover. Book Condition: GOOD+. Cloth shows silverfish predation to the starch sizing with color fade and thread baring along spine and a swath of combined silverfishing and soiling to the rear board.
