The pages, binding, spine, and edges of the book are in good condition, but there is some foxing along the edges of the pages throughout. There is no smell. The rice paper protecting the images is preserved very nicely. The book is incredibly sturdy. The leather cover is scuffed in places. Corners are a bit bumped, but really not too bad for such an old book. The gilt lettering on the cover and spine looks really good. The end paper has become brittle where the action of opening and closing happens, and has separated along the front cover and a little less so along the back cover (see photos). 100% guaranteed that condition is as described.
