The first title from the Golden Cockerel Press with Robert Gibbings at the helm. This set includes the certificate tipped-in to front free endpaper of Volume I, hand signed by Gibbings. Two marks at the lower margin of the certificate, possibly where a newspaper clipping was previously attached. Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown endpaper in both volumes: A.T.
