Combined edition: consists of first-edition sheets of two books earlier titles; Pound's 3rd & 4th books. 500 copies were supposedly (re)printed by the Chiswick Press. But it seems this number was not accurate and that there must have been less, if I understand correctly. This certainly appears to be a scarce book in any condition. Brown paper covered boards with gold lettering on spine. 3/4 inch chip of spine gone at top. Also spine starting to split along front edge of spine at bottom. Some rubing to spine, especially at bottom effecting publisher's name. Otherwise sound & intact. Previous owner's bookplate affixed to front pastedown. Moderate tanning/foxing to end pages & textblock edges. Interiors & text unmarked. Shallow scrap mark about one & one half inch across & a few other mild surface defects. Bottom corners bumped mildly.

Crown 8vo (190 x 138mm): 128pp. Publisher's fawn quarter-bound canvas over grey paper-covered boards, upper cover and spine stamped in navy blue, fore- and bottom edges untrimmed. Wanting the rarely encountered duck-egg blue dust jacket. Ex-libris of Leolyn Louise Everett and contemporary London bookseller's ticket to front paste-down. Spine darkened just a degree or two, end papers toned, first and final leaves very lightly spotted, but a collectible copy with excellent provenance. Gallup A20. A signed limited issue was published the same year. Pound's poetic farewell to London, published before leaving for Paris and turning to writing more or less nothing but cantos for the rest of his poetic career. Pound's second commercially published book (following the two privately printed collections), Exultations was printed in an edition of 1000 copies more than half of which were issued together with unused sheets of Personae as a remainder.
