Very Good. 410 page hardcover (1897,c1930) with paste-on photo image of a hand showing palm applied to front board containing both Volume 1 and Volume 2, well preserved inner hinges with gift inscription to Litzka Raymond dated 1933 Portland Oregon from "Koch", this hardcover is important for a number of reasons: the author de Saint-Germain was President of the National School of Palmistry on initial publication per copyright page and is an interesting study unto himself; Litzka was married to the magician Great Raymond and was performing with him on the international stage when she was given this gift; Litzka later married Walter Gibson of the Shadow fame and together they went on to co-author many publications, this hardcover must have been a working copy for Litzka who is considered an authority in palmistry, many of her notes still remain laid in along with her pencil notations to page margins, some of the pages are laid in place, book… Read More
