Original brown ribbed cloth blocked in blind on the boards and spine and with the title in copper on the spine. Spine sunned and title dulled, with wear to the edges and corners, else this is a very good copy with the textblock in near fine condition and seldom seen so. All plates present as issued. Note, however, that the Bird plate No. 2 was not issued; the Reptile plate 12 is misnumbered XIII. And, as Graff notes, the Landscape plates numbered 14-20 are misnumbered 15-21; all issued plates are here present. The large folding map is present. It is in good condition, with only a few separations at the folds, and a closed tear where it is detached. It is laid in at the rear.
