Description:
London, Modern Art Society, (1930).. SECOND IMPRESSION IN DUSTWRAPPER circa 1930 (first published 1925), 155 x 103 mm, 6¼ x 4½ inches, pale blue boards with green vignette, illustrated front endpaper, 40 pages. 6 very pretty mounted colour plates, all featuring fairies, title vignette and 21 illustrations in blue in the text. Book is slightly faded on spine otherwise Fine in near Fine DUSTWRAPPER (dw: slightest wear to head and tail of spine and corners, 5 mm (¼") closed tear to head of spine, minute chips at tail, very bright and clean). The price 2/- was originally printed in blue on the spine and lower panel of the dustwrapper, it was then over printed 1s. 6d. in pink for the second impression (see our enlarged image).
