Rear cover board has a weak joint, hinge still intact. Pages have discoloration and foxing throughout. Note written in front endpaper.

Cracking to hinges, causing boards to be loose. Heavy rub-marking and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers with inscriptions to front. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Heavy bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends, causing leather to peel. Boards are loose with large split joints. Book has noticeable forward lean. Boards are slightly bowed with dents to edges.

Missing the first 18 pages including the title page so I have not been able to ascertain who is the publisher or the date of publication. Circa 1825. The Lexicon is printed in 2 columns and is complete starting with 'A' and finishing with 'Z'. The appendix is also complete. This section of the book is 712 pages in length. The earlier section of the book runs from page 19 through to page 63. Early half-leather binding - near contemporary - is rubbed with around a third of the leather missing from the lower section of the spine. The corners are also rubbed. There is splitting along the front and rear innner hinges - the boards remain firmly attached but a little shaken. No date or publisher (Fisher is printer) but frontispiece dated 1834 .
