Dark green cloth with gilt paneled boards, blind embossed on rear, decorative gilt lettering to front, gilt fairy decorations to spine. All page edges gilt. Pale yellow endpapers. In very good condition. Boards a little worn, spine professionally rebacked, with repairs between endpapers. Some minor darkening around edges of title page, some occasional handling marks to pages. Some minor darkening/minor foxing spots around edges of plates, and a couple with some minor foxing to print. Else plates beautifully bright and clear. Stunning illustrations. 31 pp. Illustrated with 16 beautiful colour chromo plates by R. Doyle (engraved and printed by Edmund Evans), each plate is accompanied with text.
