Edinburgh London: Oliver & Boyd, 1952. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good+. First Edition. Boards in pale blue cloth with dark blue lettering on spine. Previous owners' names on front pastedown and ffep. Pages show a couple spots of soiling, else generally clean. Illustrated with 12 full-pages b/w photographs by W. S. Thomson. Dust jacket has clear tape along top and bottom edges; light edgewear; price clipped; in an archival mylar sleeve. 48 pages. Twelve descriptive sketches, one for each month of the year, observing the environment and describing her life at a Scottish Highlands croft through the course of a year. The author, Wendy Wood (1892-1981), was an eccentric and gifted artist and one of the founders of the political party that would later become the Scottish National Party.
