The jacket is foxed, as well as nicks and small tears to the edges, and taping to the spine ends and at three of the tears. The outer boards are lightly rubbed, and the pages are mostly foxed throughout, including the page block. The boards, pages and text are clean and unmarked throughout. LW. Hardcover. Good/Good. Clean pages and wood engravings with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Ownership plate stuck to front pastedown. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Binding remains firm. Adhesive from ex libris plate has cause a surface tear to front endpaper. Several small brown spots to fore edge. Slight tear and creasing to inner edge of second leaf. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Minor wear marks to boards. Slight scratches to rear of spine.
