Dublin: J. Milliken. Fair. 1796. Hardcover. Binding is cracked following the front free endpaper. Title page and frontis have a 2 1/4" damp stain to the spine margin. Frontis is missing paper from the upper outer corner, just barely touching the illustration border. Frontis has a dark spot which covers some letters. Title page has written initials. Spine has heavy wear to the top end and splitting to the adjacent front edge. Spine is cracked with a few surface flakes. Covers have general corner and edge wear and rubbing. "The Rolliad" in full "Criticisms on the Rolliad," is a work of British satire directed principally at the administration of William Pitt the Younger, the British statesman and Prime Minister.
