A series of short, illustrated vignettes about famous people and their relationships with cats -- – Tsar Peter, Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, and others. Sayenko's works are in private collections and institutions around the world including the Russian National Library Staatsbibliotheck, Grolior Club.
Bound accordion style with printing on one side only and with the final leaf tipped onto the back of sturdy caeboard, quarter-bound in natural thick linen, the sides covered in decorated paper with printing by Sayenko. Top and bottom edges uncut, pastedowns of grey paper, title page in red and black with a small cut of a cat, most of the text in black with some phrases in red, cuts throughout in multiple colors. Unpaginated, with two additional fold-out leaves tipped in.
Enclosed in publisher's cardboard slipcase covered with white paper.
Fine; as new, signed by the artist.
