A splendid picture of Washington and his defiant troops. Good+; a very good, clean tight copy but cov ers lightly faded at extremities; d/w is fair with darkened, rubb ed spine, a large 4” closed tear on back, and several smaller o pen tears front and back. Doubly signed and inscribed by Anderso n with a flat signature on the title page and inscription to Holl ywood screenwriter Frank Partos on the half-title page. Partos sh ared an Academy Award nomination for the Snake Pit (1948) and co -wrote the film noir classic The House on Telegraph Hill .
