Sentence at random, from p.73: "Concerning the second possibility, the cerebrospinal fluid homovanillic acid primarily samples the caudate nucleus." Of course, that was back in 1981, and yes, yes, text is entirely in English.

Firenze: R. Paggi, Libraio-Editore, 1893. 228p., has a bibliography, text entirely in Italian; softbound in plainish off-white wraps printed black & red (title rubricated along with a vignette showing tuberculosis bacilli), unopened signatures throughout, a very presentable copy with a serious problem: the spine panel, which shows signs of repair with old document tape, is cracked vertically and soon a third of the textblock will detach. Item in all other respects is sound, is clean except for light cover dust, and is unmarked.

A hip study; author's epigraph is quoted from a Bjork poem or one of her lyrics.

Paris: Chez l'Auteur, 1801. Hardcover. xx, 451, 456p., no illustrations whatsoever, as issued; two volumes, curtom-bound in 8x5 inch marbled boards with good calf backstrips lettered and ruled gilt, all edges decoratively sprinkled in dark blue (color very faded), well-tanned calfskin tinted medium brown, the leather mildly rubbed but not abraded, boards edgeworn else quite sound (no turned corners, &c), relatively new endsheets from the recasing period (circa 1900) that complement the old paperstock. Vol I suffered a serious pipe-coal burn that consumed semi-circles of margin to ten or so terminal leaves, and stained forty adjacent pages; no text was affected but the burn came close to a couple of index entries. All in all, a good set, signed by Swediaur in Vol I; very presentable on the shelf and easy to handle. Haldane was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain and much of the material in this book originally appeared in the Daily Worker.
