[Chicago]: Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway System, 1948. Paperback. Unpaginated, over thirty pages, profusely illustrated with b&w photos and detailed line diagrams, softbound in oblong 10.5x14 inch plainish printed wraps; folded in half to 10.5x7 inch wraps which are entirely blank (except for an offset rust-pattern left by an ancient paperclip). Texts confined to lengthy captions. Sent folded; expect mild vertical creasing to each and every leaf. We see no material damage; staple-fastenings have indeed been touched with rust, these without migration. Good copy.

Seattle: Marquand Books, Inc, 2008. Hardcover. Unpaginated, 26 fullpage color collages numbered in the captions and listed in a terminal index along with an extremely detailed vita, and a few more plates & lists besides (solo & group exhibitions, awards, selected reviews). Inscribed and signed on the titlepage, dated year of publication. Oversize hardbound in 14x10 inch colorplate boards, a perfectly sound, flat, clean, unmarked copy. Dee Dee's most complex plates are worthy of Jess, an earlier-generation collagist. And as absorbing as a "Where's Waldo" drawing. Her less complex work is also excellent. "Utopia" in the artist's mind is living in conditions of radical equality of gender, ethnicity, left politics and so forth (see accompanying essays).

Richmond VIC: Hutchinson of Australia, 1973. Hardcover. 361p., illustrated with original b&w photographs and a few line maps, hardbound first edition in 9.5x6 inch raspberry cloth boards gilt and enclosed in the colorphoto dust jacket. Casing is mildly edgeworn with crimps at top and tail of backstrip, quite sound and square, clean and free of any markings, dust jacket about the same with a touch of soil, this a very good copy. Greenway is, per dust jacket flap text, "a controversial anthropologist", currently spending his spare time as a deputy sheriff in his home town of Boulder CO. He and his wife got very close to several tribes during their fifteen years in the bush.

Istanbul: Ebristan Publication, 2001. Hardcover. 155p., plus appended examples, precise reproductions on superfine paperstock, hardbound in 13x9.5 inch openweave dark blue cloth boards and enclosed in a strong near-cardstock dust jacket; upper board bears a lovely onlay. Find early marbling survivors, a few centuries old, and plenty of the new work by author Barutcugil, texts explaining features, techniques, and ambitions for further work: a labor of love. First blank bears the artist's inscription and signature (signinhg in full) and also the signature of a family member. An otherwise very good copy, perfectly sound, clean and unmarked, book itself, with the dj just slightly handled.

Santa Rosa: National Association of Miniature Autographs, 1981. unpaginated 8.5x11 inches, illustrated with photos, maps, drawings, patterns, plans, ads, very good in brad-bound gilt-illustrated covers. Convention program.

Washington DC: GPO, 1931. Paperback. iv, 115p., many exemplars shown in b&w photography, in construction and in situ, and also by many diagrams, especially for chairs in parts, how pieced together. Item is staple-fastened, and the staples (faint rust plus as-new shinyness) are visible fore and aft, but no "pullings" or tears as are often seen in these book-structures. A very good copy. Report no. 18.

Meadville, PA: Keystone View Company, 1952. Pamphlet. 24p., stapled wraps, 5x7 inches, illus., staples rusted, wraps lightly worn, else very good condition. Guide for teachers by an overhead projector company.

no city, US: The Singer Company, 1974. Pamphlet. 32p, presswork on semi-glazed slightly acidic paperstock and illustrated with numerous monochrome sketches and a vivid color photo of Singer's latest design, The Futura. Laid in is a useful addendum from another source. Softbound, an 8x5.5 inch pamphlet in colorphoto wraps, covers somewhat rubbed and crimped from handling, paper is mildly toned, a sound copy that is clean and unmarked.

San Diego, CA / Princeton, NJ: Mingei International Museum / Princeton University Press, 2017. Hardcover. 175p., cloth-coverd boards, 8.75x12.25 inches, profusely illus., very good exhibition catalog.

Barcelona: Kettal Barcelona, 2015. Hardcover. 312p., high-quality color product photography throughout, usually uncaptioned except at intervals where the designer or the "collection" changes. Occasionally a line diagram is interposed, and in a terminal section a variety of "finishes" (fabrics, paints) is exhibited. Hardbound in 11x7.5 chipboard covers with special surfaces, with a red-orange cloth backstrip titled in white. Backstrip is slightly worn, boards have a ding or two to edges and a touch of dust, a very good copy that is entirely clean and unmarked within.

Brescia: La Scuola" Editrice, 1941. 162p., many b&w drawings and woodengravings scattered in text with (appended) 21 color plates (colorized b&w) on coated paper. Paperbound in 7.5x5 inch buff wraps printed in two colors with overlapping edges; cover quite foxed with a bit of dust- and handling soil, overlaps worn with tiny tears at head and tail, but clean, unmarked and sound within; a good (good-only) copy.

Paris: Ingenia, Constructions de Precision, 1950. Cardboard Covers. 4p., giant cardstock leaves (11.5x16.5 inches) printed recto-only in vivid colors (Roman interior decoration wasn't subtle), enclosed in a doubly-giant folder printed two-colors in French and Latin, francophone instructions for assembling a tiny cardboard villa (lotsa rooms) around gardens and pools. No perforations, you or your kid must be handy with scissors. Condition of plates is quite good, even very good if images are scissored and marginal scraps thrown away; condition of outer wrap however is poor to fair, with heavy dust-soil and foxing. Two corner-tips bear repellent mildew. As is, "with all faults", item retains some charm despite drawbacks.

London: George Philip & Son, Ltd, 1908. Hardcover. viii, 122p., maps as called for, modern line maps in colors, supplemented with numerous b&w vignettes and full-page images, reproduced well. Gargantuan hardbound, 15.5x12.5 inch blotter-papered boards over a titled linen backstrip, top edge gilded; rear cover is massive, built to make a pocket that accomodates four global sections: each is printed in several colors plus metallic silver, on extra-heavy paperstock, then folded into quarters measuring 15x12 inches. There is a key diagram (follows index) showing how the four huge mercator-style pieces fit together. We have gingerly peeked and see only one instance of damage, i.e. heavy toning to one-half of one exposed quarter; no tears, no partings, no soil nor any markings. Regarding the "book" format of our atlas, the linen backstrip is browned from handling, dust and age, and there is a little fray at the tail rim. Presswork on heavy alkaline paperstock, making for a rather heavy paperback. A very good copy with trivial corner-tip turnings. Find ownership stamps of Frank M. LeBar, another ethnologist. As stated, very good condition: sound, clean, otherwise unmarked, and pleasant to hold. Bishop Museum publication no. 200.

Allahabad: Printed by F. Luker, Supdt., Govt. Press, United Provinces, 1910. Hardcover. iii, 27 pages, 11 unnumbered leaves of plates depicting workers making kalabatun, batia, salma, and other products, slender hardcover, some nicks and bumps to edges of cover, endpapers toned, interior very good.

n.p.: Tannen Publications, 1963. Pamphlet. Prestidigitation. 53p., illustrated with numerous vignette photos and diagrammatic sketches, presswork on glossy alkaline paperstock throughout, softbound in 9x5.5 inch decorated wraps. Covers are rubbed and front cover has a corner-tip crease, item is otherwise sound, clean and unmarked.

First blank bears the artist's inscription and signature (signing in full), and laid in is a 6x4 inch color photograph (from the negative) showing the artist & his diagram demonstrating the creation of the signature "tulip" which he likes to insert into general background marblings. A very good to fine copy, perfectly sound, clean and unmarked.
