Slight edgewear, stamp of the "Church of Jesus Christ Christian" on title page else very good condition. Yet another transmogrification of Hubbard's anonymous forgery.

Biography of the poet and forger who tried to achieve fame by faking connections to major poets and other celebrities.

Beijing: Renmin wenxue chubanshe, 2002. Paperback. 198p., paperback, very good. An entirely fraudulent Chinese entry in the Harry Potter series; not an unauthorized translation, but a whole new book ghostwritten in Rowling's name. English title on rear cover. In 2007, the NY Times published an article by Howard French on the topic of fake Harry Potter books. French wrote that "Chinese readers could not wait for the official release of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,' the much anticipated seventh and concluding book in the series, a little more than a week ago. And they did not have to. A book with the same title came out a full 10 days before the official worldwide English-language release on July 21 - a wholly unauthorized version that bears nothing in common with the instant best seller written by J. K. Rowling." [80]p., 8.5x11 inches, stapled wraps, date in red pencil on front wrap, address label on rear wrap, else very good condition; listing of 950 books and documents for sale. Catalogue 148. John Holmes Jenkins, one-time president of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America, was found dead after a scandal involving gambling debts, forged historical documents, and arson and insurance fraud. He was ruled a suicide although he was shot in the back of the head and no gun was found.
