New York: ILGWU, 1960. 48p., wraps, 8.5x11 inches, glossy pictorial cover. September 1960 issue of the Yiddish-language journal, the title of which means Justice, which marks the 50th anniversary of the ILGWU's major 1910 strike, nicknamed "The Great Revolt.

Los Angeles: the museums, printed by The Ward Ritchie Press, 1944. Hardcover. xi, 63p., plus 87 fullpage b&w plates on coated paperstock, captioned with cross-reference to other exemplars. Presswork on laid-lined alkaline stock, hardbound by local expert Ward Ritchie, and bound in 10x7.5 inch green photo-repro'd boards trimmed white. Casing is slightly edgeworn with a touch of fray to top rim, plates part of textblock is mildly foxed, a sound, clean, unmarked copy.

Lyrics and some (minimal) musical notation, includes classics plus a few new songs.

New York: Horace Liveright, 1930. Hardcover. 413p., previous owner's name else very good condition, first edition. *Hanna 725. Blake p. 247. Strike novel about a Russian Jewish immigrant involved in the New York City garment trade.

Detroit: Herman and Ben Marks, Manufacturing Furriers, 1926. Pamphlet. 32p., every page features b&w exhibit photography (commonly displaying four coats modeled full-length on young women), reproduced and captioned on glazed alkaline paperstock. Softbound, a decorated pamphlet in 10x9 inch stapled wraps. Intact, but very handled, with extensive crimping to all leaves; we see no tears or marked-up areas, and no out-and-out grime. Staples very slightly touched with rust. A good (good-only) copy. Laid in is an order blank on toned letterhead. FYI, the very first leaf is to be memorized by, then discarded (per dotted cut-line) by, the retailer; it reveals a wholesale-cost secret of which customers should remain ignorant ("Read, Remember - and Cut This Page Out").

New York: American Monthly Publishing Association, 1923. Paperback. 64p., 5.5x8.5 inches; corners are slightly rounded from handling, small chip on bottom rear cover, slight chip along spine ends, in good condition. Content on Karl Radek, women and the garment industry, and more.

Cincinnati: The Procter & Gamble Co, 1921. Paperback. 80p., scattered vignette illustrations from photography and artwork, several useful diagrams depicting best fold-lines, nice alkaline paperstock. Softbound, a small paperback in 7x5 inch flexible card covers coated in dark green cloth. Cover titling in embossed gilt accompanied by a 3.5x4 inch color onlay picture. Expect a small stain in the sky-area of cover image, an otherwise unmarked, clean nice copy, quite sound. FYI, the cover onlay shows washing being hung by a party in high heels, with a background cottage fit for a Thomas Kinkaid oil painting.

New Delhi: Crafts Museum, 1966. 98p., glossy paperstock throughout with b&w and color exhibit and site photography; 10x7.5 inch cloth boards spine-titled red, in dust jacket. Jacket is rather edgeworn, with a small chip. Casing, save for a touch of foxing to one endsheet, is pristine and unhandled, as is the textblock. A near-fine copy. Curious note, all weavers shown are male. Editor Mookerjee was at writing Director of the Crafts Museum. He is well-known for his writings and publications on tantra art.

Kowloon, Hong Kong: China Labor Education and Information Centre, 1995. Magazine. 20p., 8x11.5 inches; photo., map, mild handling, else in very good condition.

Paris: Maison Murat, 1925. 60p. plus firm's add-ons; the profuse illustrations are printed in sepia on cream tint-blocks with a terminal section showing certain paraphernalia (cigaret cases, cigar scissors, pocket knives, sewing kits) in blue on the same tint. Softbound, a 9.5x12.5 inch oblong folder fastened with a decorative cord (intact and presentable), cover titling embossed gilt, rubricated titlepage, the numerous plates all in good order. Externally, the item's overlapping margins are somewhat shelfworn with a bit of dust-soil, while the interior has developed one flaw: expect an extended adhesion-scar betwixt the titlepage and cover's verso, and an attendendant tear next the worst of the scar in the gutter's margin. Was a leaf removed? we don't know, but it doesn't look like it). A good copy. Laid in is a typed promotional letter on Murat letterhead.
