no place: Self-published / Chill House, 2007. Trade Paperback. [44p] very good slim trade paperback in blue pictorial wraps. Bay area San Francisco native. Jazz musician. The 'Chill' of the publisher's name most definitely a jazz chill (as opposed to a horror chill).

Berkeley: Ache/La Pena Cultural Center, 1991. Single 8.5x11 inch handbill printed one side only very good on yellow stock. Handbill publicizing the Ache film series showing of Michelle Parkerson's 1980 53 minute film, a portrait of the legendary jazz vocalist at La Pena on Wednesday, May 29th, 1991.

Highland Park, NJ: Walter C. Allen, 1974. Staplebound. Single issue of the serial published between 1958 and 1975, 19p., 6x8.5 inches; some pen tick marks throughout, mailing address on back for American music critic, Ralph J. Gleason, one advertisement circled in pencil, some light (ink?) blotches on back wrap, somewhat unevenly toned, wraps slightly handled, light creasing through back wrap, in good condition. Only two holdings found in OCLC (7/22). Trade catalogue of jazz vinyls with an index of authors. Letter is two 8.5x11 inch sheets, toned and transparent, half-fold, weak around the staple. Includes a list of the albums that are pen marked in the catalogue and a business question about the rights to the magazine Jazz Information from Ralph to Walter.

Melbourne: Australian Jazz Quarterly, 1950. 16p., listings in smallpoint type without annotation, printed in blue ink, staplebound textured peach wraps lettered green. A very good copy which some knowledgeable person has emended very neatly (and very small) in pencil, adding and correcting issue numerals. A.J.Q. handbook no. 3.

Oakland: BAM Publications, 1979. newspaper. 75p., tabloid size magazine on decent newsprint, staplebound. Illus., photos, ads. Some wear to back cover corner and center crease. Otherwise very good. Bay area music bimonthly with cover story on Tom Petty. Other articles on Hiroshima, Phil Seymour, Matthew Kate, Carlene Carter. Ads for Bill Graham's famous New Year's Eve concerts in this December issue.

New York: Idelsohn Society for Musical Preservation, 2010. Pamphlet. 40p., wraps, very good condition, 5.25x7.25 inches. Booklet to accompany the CD (the CD is lacking).

Chicago: Pallma Music Products, 1946. Staplebound. 39p. + [1p. of advertisements], wraps, 9x12 inches; rubbed and soiled rear wraps, some pencil notation on rear wrap, spine slightly toning, corners very slightly curling, else in very good condition.

Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 1977. Hardcover. ix, 134p., illustrated with numerous b&w period photographs, 8.5x8 inches, second printing, hardbound in 8x9 inch blue boards with a wide black cloth backstrip lettered in blue and gilt. Item is enclosed in its dust jacket. Book itself is entirely sound, clean and unmarked; the dj, while quite presentable, has two short marginal tears which we have tacked with verso tape. A very good copy.

n.p.: Concepto Villa Paz, 2002. Paperback. 160p., discography, clubs, photo of Tito Puente, bookshop stamp otherwise very good first edition trade paperback in pictorial wraps. The discography is of the musicians referred to in the poems. The clubs are the addresses of the the clubs referred to. Nuyorican poet and drummer known as The Drumpoet. Latin jazz poetry.

New York: International Publishers, 1960. Hardcover. 333p., very good condition in a price-clipped dj. Dj subtitle: "A study of national expression in music and the use of folk and popular music by the great composers from the 17th century to the present day." Includes chapters on jazz, music in the Soviet Union, and more.

Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 1980. Hardcover. ix, 226p., plenty of b&w period photos, hardbound first edition in bland cloth boards lettered red and black, and enclosed in the dust jacket. A fine copy, recently packaged in shrinkwrap until we got curious (no damage) so it's still fine (in every respect).

Albuquerque: Zerx Press, 2001. Pamphlet. 21p. & 15p., 5.5x8.5 inches, two poetry chapbooks bound dos-a-dos, ads, illustrations, limited edition of 400 copies, signed by Weber and personal inscription signed by Locklin and signed again at title page, very good in stapled white pictorial wraps. Locklin's poems are based upon a collection of jazz CDs sent him by Weber. Locklin was an educator in California at several universities and colleges. He was also a friend of Bukowski. He died of Covid-19 in January of 2021 one month from his 80th birthday.

n.p.: Verve, n.d.. Pamphlet. Promotional material in an oversize brochure, unpaginated, about 16 pages of glazed alkaline paperstock decorated with b&w performance photos and record-company stuff, staplebound 12x9 inch wraps. Staples are rusting with mild migration, expect mild evidence of handling, a good to very good exemplar.

n.p.: Jake Books, 2009. Paperback. 48 pg. paperback, 7.5" x 5.25", very good. Signed by author on title page. Author grew up in Venice, CA and has published 11 volumes of poetry and 2 novels. Author is heavily influenced by Jazz, and one of his poems is dedicated to "Larkin," perhaps the poet and jazz musician Philip Larkin.

New York: Marlborough Gallery, 1985. [20]p., 8.5x11 inch exhibition catalog illus. with color and black/white works by the African American outsider/jazz artist, bumped at top of spine else very good condition.

Hamburg, 1980. Pamphlet. Concert program with lyrics in English (only), no music notation, surrounding text in German (exclusively), features a number of b&w group photos with (over the decades) a various cast of always four persons. A tall stapled pamphlet, 11.5x8.5 inches, colorphoto cover with two color portraits. A very good copy, sound, clean and free of any markings.

Sacramento CA: Woodlake Inn, no date. Single 8.5x11 inch green sheet printed one side with Dixieland band illustration and schedule of players, two fold creases and some edgewear. Bands appearing are Bob Ringwald Trio, Frank Silva Combo, Grand Republic Jazz Band, Riverbank Blues Band & Sutterville Stompers.
