Description:
Vienna, VA:: Feld Entertainment Production,, (1999). SIGNED hardcover first edition -. Near fine in illustrated gold boards with a red spine (a bit of rubbing to the covers). First edition. A hardcover souvenir book, illustrated in full color throughout, with many doublepage spreads. SIGNED BY 4 PERFORMERS at their photographs: David Larible, Sylvia, Istvan, and Fanny (with the word "kiss"). The clown Larible was one of the star attractions of this production, which only lasted one season - from 1999-2000 - introducing the acts in lieu of a ringmaster. Although critics described it as "extraordinary' and Clive Barnes stated "This is the kind of show for which God invented the circus" the fact that it was produced in a tent with just one ring and a small audience, made it difficult to be profitable. Includes a list of all the players and several pages discussing how the production was created. Tall format, unpaginated. Final page is an ad for Diner's Club.
