Very nice copy tells the story of what Noah, et al, did AFTER the flood; one dent in bottom of back DJ near spine is only flaw. Price is intact, no writing or markings.

William Morrow, 1986. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. Lemieux, Michele. An adaptation of the story of Menotti's now-classic opera with stunning illustrations. NF in a Very Good price-clipped jacket, with a little bend to the top of the front jacket panel and a light crease/fingernail mark.

Some soil and staining to beige paper jacket, a couple of very small tears. Small round green sticker on rear jacket panel, near foot of spine. The book is fine--the outstanding woodcut illustrations are crisp and claen. Gift inscription on front pastedown. Price is intact--lower portion of front flap is cut diagonally, but as the price is still present, likely it was printed this way.

New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, Co., 1975. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. Anno, Mitsumasa. Nice copy. One dent in DJ near bottom spine, top and bottom of book show shelf wear, near flawless inner pages; some wear to bottom edge of book including corners; does not affect jacket. Stated "First United States Publication 1975", no price on dj but not clipped. Overall a superior copy.

Philadelphia: Jewish Publication Society, 1990. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Wunsch, Marjory. A lovely collection of classic stories about the Yemenite Jews' struggles as they traveled to Israel. Book has an unfortunate name written in crayon on the front free endpaper, but is otherwise immaculate condition. Jacket is price-clipped and has some minor bumping. Overall a very nice copy.

Crown, 1992. First Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. First Edition. Front cover has a gold sticker that reads "By the author of the award-winning TAR BEACH". Owner's name written neatly on FFEP. Corners are very slightly bumped but otherwise a collector's copy of this beautiful story of Harriet Tubman seen through the eyes of an eight-year-old girl.

New York: American Book Company, 1972. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾"- 9¾" tall. Nice clean copy of this weird 70's primer. Second printing, with typical school stamp (typical of the front of textbooks) inside front cover, but totally unmarked internally. Ding to rear board near spine, a little wear, overall VG+. Seriously pretty odd--someone must have a fond memory of this title.

A wonderfully illustrated children's picture book about a grumpy old man who rescues a circus bear from captivity. Fine in a jacket with a significant tear to the top of the spine, extending to the front panel.

Lothrop, Lee and Shepard, 1970. Hardcover. Very Good. Duvoisin, Roger. Weekly Reader book club edition of this out-of-print title by a renowned author and award-winning illustrator. Picture cover, no dust jacket, worn and slightly soiled. Pencil mark to title page. Sewn binding is coming slightly loose but is still fully intact.

New York: Harper & Row, 1961. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾"- 9¾" tall. Montresor, Beni. Lovely copy of this charming tale of mice conspiring to hang a bell around the neck of the local cat. Weekly Reader BC edition--no jacket as issued. Near Fine with just a touch of soil to boards, no marking internally, no notable wear.

Australia: Brimax Books. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Maury. What appears to be an Australian equivalent of Golden Books, undated, no ISBN. Large format hardcover in laminated boards. Contains two stories--one about a fox named Freddy, one about a St. Bernard named Bruno. A little wear to boards, previous owner's name inked out on title page of first story.

Chicago: Follett Publishing Company, 1968. Cloth. Very Good/Near Fine. Keys, Robert. Wander the big city through the alphabet in this way groovy urban ABC book. Especially recommended is N for Neon. Pages alternate between full color and b/w, really neat. Front of jacket has a small circle of white (sticker pull?); medium rip (3/4") along top right DJ; 2 smaller rips on top DJ (1/4" each - both closed) ; price IS cut off front flap. A neat find.

Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1952. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. Ward, Lynd. A Weekly Reader Children's Book Club Edition from 1960. Gorgeous black and white drawings tell the story of a boy and his bear, winner of the 1953 Caldecott Medal. Cover shows expected wear around the top and along the spine -- a few small chips missing at top of spine, "The" is partially obscured. Front flap is price-clipped, neat bookmark on rear flap, can't think many of those survived intact. A great collector's copy for those who can't afford a true first!

New York: Dutton, 1982. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Later printing of a delightful little picture book about all sorts of boats. Fine in a VG jacket, a bit of a crease to the rear cover.

New York: Parents Magazine Press, 1963. Hardcover. Near Fine/Good. 8vo - over 7¾"- 9¾" tall. A fine tale of a young man with a little money to spend, who takes the advice of everyone he meets on how to keep it safe. Jacket has soil to rear panel, 3 tears to front and a chip to top center. Interior text it clean, bright, only mark is previous owner's name stamped discreetly on rear endpaper.

New York: Henry Holt, 1992. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Carle, Eric. The title says it all! Special birthday recreation edition by Eric Carle. Minimal wear on the cover near the top. Second printing of the 1992 re-issue

Milwaukee, WI: Gareth Stevens Children's Books, 1991. Hardcover. Near Fine. Kuroi, Ken. A charming picture book translated into English by Patricia Lantier. Pictoral boards, no DJ. Great condition, no markings, no bumping, no ex-lib.

New York: Hyperion, 1993. First Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Signed by author on the title page. William Wegman (with Carole Kismaric and Carole Heiferman) retells the Cindarella story in series of staged photos of Wegman's beloved Weimeraners. This is a first printing, inscribed "To Dick and Karen", with a small dog's head drawing. Book is fine, unclipped jacket has a touch of shelf wear and a tiny bump/tear to lower front corner.

Doubleday, 1955. Cloth. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Ames, Lee J.. Oversized pictorial cover children's picture book, no jacket. Serious wear to top and bottom of spine and some corner bumps, and boards are slightly warped, but binding is tight, no loose pages, overall very good condition. Beautifully illustrated in color and B&W, telling the stories of the major battles of The Civil War, profuse illustrations, written at an intermediate-grade level. Really nice volume for home schoolers or collectors of books on the War.
