Nice: J. Ramel, 1974 First edition, official programme brochure of the 1974 Monaco Grand Prix. All In French. Paperback: colour photo-illustrated paper wrappers, stapled, 79pp. Contents include map of the Monaco circuit, b&w photos of the FI drivers (including a young Niki Lauda), double page colour graphic illustration of the Marlboro Team Texaco car of Fittipladi and Hulme, plus programme for the qualifying rounds and the race itself, details of other races on the day, details of previous Monaco grand prix, as well as many trade adverts. A Good copy. Wrappers have usual light handling wear. Contents clean, a previous owner has inscribed details on the drivers (some race stats?) and some figures on a few pages; a few creased page corners.

Dark grey cloth with gilt titles to front, and elaborate black stamped relief decorations and floral motifs. 188pp. Blue endpapers. One line engraving in text. The author was a tackle manufacturer with a shop in Nottingham (advert at back), and this book was originally published in 1866. Covers clean and bright, a few marks to back, lightly bumped and rubbed edges with frayed spine ends. Binding a little slack but sound; two names to title page. A Good+ copy.

Red cloth boards, now rather stained, cloth torn to spine along back edge. Decorative endpapers. Although the boards are poor this volume is clean and tidy inside. A VG copy.

Black cloth lettered in gilt to spine, and pictorial dustjacket with painted image of hawk on glove to front. 163pp plus index. With b&w illustrations in plates and text by George Lodge (reproductions of his paintings of various falconry birds), as well as some engravings and photographic reproductions (note that most of the images are by Lodge, (who was an excellent artist) but this edition does not seem to have all the illustrations (eg by Charlton and Moore) that featured in the original Badminton Library edition. A Fine copy in a Very Good jacket , which has light browning.
