A different dj cover - half-red with title and author name, other half has an illustration of the horse and a note from the author about the book. Back of dj has cowboy on a bucking Smoky. Will James classic story of a cowpony originally published in 1927 and a Newbery Medal winner.. Illus. by James, Will. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Reprint. Hardcover. Near Very Good/Fair.

Rubbing along spine edges, closed tear back cover - protected from further damage with clean Brodart jacket. A bit of staining on front of dj. Overall a very nice copy of early printing of Caldecott Honor book. Does NOT have Caldecot seal.. Illus. by McCloskey, Robert. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair.
