Description:
New York, N.Y. : Simon and Schuster, 1950. Hardcover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Dated 1950 and stated "Fourth Printing". 124 pp. Red cloth quarter binding and blue tweed covers. Missing dust jacket. Illustrated pastedowns and endpapers with castle on a hill overlooking a town. No tears. Owner's name at top of first pastedown and endpaper with date of 1953. Although Mark Simont's name is spelled correctly on the title page, this book is assumed fourth printing due the date of 1950, the fourth printing statement, and the statement of the owner's date. The book has the following flaws: edge rubbing, binding separation from text gatherings and a smudge on pp. 51-53 in the lower corner margin, slight wear to bottom cloth spine.
