Vol I has small chip on rear board at bottom, deckled pages, mild discoloration to endpapers. In original slipcase, which is worn and chipped with two seams splitting.The two volumes are in excellent condition.

Tips and edges have very limited wear, if any. Boards have some mild discoloration and shelf wear. Rear pastedown gutter is cracked but tightly bound. Title and publisher's information has rubbed off in some spots on the spine. Ownership inscription on rear flyleaf. No other writings or markings.

Wesley Bradshaw was the pseudonym of author and publisher Charles Wesley Alexander (1837-1927). Irregular pagination, as published, pp. [2], 21-30, [31-32], 39-52, [53-54], 61-74, [75-76], 85-100; Frontispiece. Full-page woodcut illustrations included in the pagination. Covers have rubbing to hinges and extremities. Offsetting to endpapers, tanning to flyleaves, ownership inscription with fountain pen to title page. Binding is square and secure.
