Pictorial mass market paperback. 153pp. This is a non-fiction work compiling various research and reports from around the world, including the Yeti in the Himalayas, behind the Iron Curtain, Asia, below the equator, and the North American sasquatch, especially in Canada & California. An overlooked little item with much early information, published only three years after Roger Patterson's much sought book. This is a poor copy. The binding is tight & there is no trouble using this as a reading copy, but it is stained, the lower front cover corner is worn back a little, and the upper back front corner is chipped back a little.

Index. Bibliography. Appendices. Gift inscriptions inside front cover. A Bigfoot, Yeti, and sasquatch classic. Bit of wear to extremities. VG. Somewhat common in mass market, but this a much better than average copy.

The author questions the mental condition of Bigfoot researchers & believers ("... if people can delude themselves into believing (in Bigfoot) ..., what on earth might they be thinking about truly important matters?"). He gives his own interpretation of the historical & biographical background of modern Bigfoot/Sasquatch studies & personalities as he attempts to debunk some famous Sasquatch accounts. Yet, McLeod seems overly fond of the classic argument that Sasquatch can't exist, therefore all evidence of its existence must be bogus. 1st printings now a bit hard to come by. Fine, like new in dj.

Chicago: Univ of Chicago, 1946. Hardcover. Good-. Cloth. 122pp. Illus. Index. NOTE: This copy, while materially fine (no dj), has a musty odor. This isn't necesarily because it was exposed to the element; some papers from this era just seem to more easily chemically create mustiness as they age. But do not order this copy if this is a deal-breaker. That said, this copy has the ownership label on the front paste down of anthropologist Graham D. Richards, Kent, UK, who wrote several books on human evolution. Richards wrote copious critical notes in pencil throughout the book and thus this copy might be quite useful to researchers in the field.

NY: Fawcett Gold Medal, 1980. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Good. 1st printing. Pictorial paperback. 288pp. A novel featuring Bigfoot / Sasquatch written by an author who wrote a lot of published short fiction, but only this novel. This is not a rare or even scarce book, but the twin (in sequence) ownership association of this copy makes it a one of a kind. The first noted owner was British Columbian Rene Dahinden of sasquatch research fame. His Richmond BC address is ink-stamped inside the front cover. Also stamped, above Dahinden's stamp, is the ink-stamp of Cubbyhole Books in Richmond, which is most likely where Rene acquired the copy. Additionally, on the top of the facing first page, "Carnal Hunger," it is titled, is the ink signature of also widely recognized researcher and publisher of Bigfoot Times, D. (Daniel) Perez. "Descended from a long of line of Bella Coola chiefs," Mack became a fine big game hunting guide and expert on the wilderness of mid-coastal British Columbia & the near interior. In this book he gives some information on the sasquatch. Virtually fine (one really tiny blemish on bottom of front cover) in fine dj.

Norwalk: Danny Perez Pub, 1998. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Good. 1st printing. 4to pictorial wraps. 189pp. Signed by Perez (to no one). A remarkable amount of information is in this volume which has not been surpassed as a Bigfoot / sasquatch bibliography. It is a shame that the author or someone authorized by him couldn't have brought it up to date in the twenty-first century. This copy good only because of long crease to lower front cover, back cover, and varying degrees to lower cover throughout text. It will serve nonetheless as a guide for the researcher.

NY: Bantam, 1976. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Good. Heinzen, Steve (Edit.). 1st printing. Mass market paperback. Pictorial wraps. 171pp. Illus. Appendices. This is one of the more interesting early books published on Bigfoot/sasquatch. Al Berry recorded the so-called "Sierra Sounds" and one of the appendices discusses this. The first printing of this title, which this is, is now quite scarce; later printings also scarce. A good only copy. It's tight, but has some wear. The fore corners of the front cover have been reinforced with thin, archival tape because they were beginning to chip away. Top of front cover has a couple of small area near the top where the color sizing surface of the paper has peeled away, and one spot of same on the back. In spite of these flaws, this first printing should not be snubbed unless you need a fine copy. Some ridiculous prices are being asked for poorer copies of this book and they may not even be first printings.

Jefferson (NC): McFarland, 2012. First Edition. Soft cover. As New. 1st printing (unstated ltd of under 300 copies). 4to pictorial wraps. 338pp. Illus. (Believe me, there are some fabulous screen photos here). Index. Foreword by Loren Coleman (no relation to author). 1) Cine du Sasquatch as a Genre Convention; 2) Bigfoot, Sasquatch and Yeti Films and Television Programs; 3) Interviews with Bigfoot Filmakers. The author has been/is a screenwriter & indie film distributor. Unbelievable volume of films & information. Fine, like new.

Middletown: CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, 2017. First Edition. Soft cover. Near Fine. Although a print-on-demand platform, this is perhaps the first printing of this title, March 2017. The author has gone to great lengths to finding old newspaper articles on the subject(s). His Introduction is well worth while, and he cites newspapers, dates, and makes comments as appropriate at the end of each chapter. Recommended for the serious sasquatch / bigfoot historian. Read once. Near fine.

Anchorage: Publication Consultants, 2017. 1st printing in wrappers. Soft cover. Near Fine. 1st printing. Pictorial glossy trade wraps. 440pp. Foreword by Bob Gimlin. A rather remarkable account of the author's research on sasquatch from his research site(s) in Oregon. The author is a licensed clinical psychologist. Near fine just a tiny bit of curling to the cover front corners, hardly worth of mentioning because there are folks who want absolutely perfect copies of books. We are a real bookseller, not a "ghost" seller with cheaper copies that have so many caveats you can't see straight (and they won't examine their copies to give you exact details).

Rome, OH: Page Research, 1978. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Fine. 1st and apparently only printing. Pictorial wraps. 58pp. Illustrated with 21 photos, prints, and some interesting drawings. Bibliography. Tom Page funded sasquatch/bigfoot research over a period of time. He was involved in the Bossburg, Washington, activity after the finding of the long trackway there in 1969, even supplying a helicopter. This circus of events is well described by Loren Colemen in his book, Bigfoot. Page died in 2020. Pictorial glossy wraps. 431pp. Illus. Bibliographies. Index. The author's collected papers as a hominologist, most of them published in scientific journals, with new material. Those interested in the possible existence of Sasquatch in western North America (and elsewhere) will find this text fascinating, but sometimes heavy, reading. Fine, as new.

This is a superb book describing in great and intricate detail the study and survey of the P-G film site by the authors and other individuals in 2010-2012. Over the decades uncertainty had naturally evolved as to the precise location of the filming of the female sasquatch by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin in 1967. A team of men went in and with arduous technical work re-established the location studying everything pertinent from Mother Nature and original visual information as well as early map assessments and photos. Only your bookseller has read this copy (carefully) and there is one ink note he made in the text, referenced also in ink on the ffep. This copy is offered to you from a genuine bookseller. Vg+ copy.

The publication of Patterson's book was a watershed publication which helped usher in the era of modern research on the subject. This is a good copy with moderate wear. The article's introduction gives some background information. For collectors of Bigfoot books this is a small, but important introduction to collecting the best books.
