The second volume has an index. Two volumes comprising the Historic Graves of the Old West series by the fine ghost town researcher & compiler from Portland, Oregon. Both vol. fine in complete, good dust jackets. Boot Hill dj has some wear around the edges and touch of fraying at top of backstrip, but no chips. Small address label on verse of ffep mostly removed. Tales has a triangle crease bottom of front panel. Adams 150 #55 (Tales), 6-guns 738 (Boot Hill).

(Tombstone): Privately published, 1962. First Edition. Soft cover. Good. Apparently the first printing of this interesting booklet. Tall pictorial wraps. 17pp. "In compiling this list, each history has been checked with all available sources of information, including relatives, old residents and the Arizona Historical Society." Fascinating item and the causes of death are given in almost all cases from infants dying of Scarlet Fever to losers in shoot-outs, to falling into mine shafts and being killed by Indians. Just a bit of stain lower spine. A very good copy.

Contents: General map (Southern Interior of British Columbia), Sandon-Ghost Town, Our Vanishing Heritage, South Similkameen-The Eagle Country, How to Pan Gold, Indian Artifacts-East Kootenay, Yukon Diary. The front cover sports a haunting photo of the ghost town of Sandon a few years after the Carpenter Creek flood. Barlee's magazine, which was published for several years, is a high spot in the literature of the history of British Columbia, particularly about the old mining towns and mines. Barlee was a history teacher in Penticton and went on to serve in the B. C. Parliament. Your bookseller corresponded with him at one point. Highly collectable and the original issue is very scarce. Very scarce.
