Cambridge, MA: Riverside Press, 1905 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. VG; top edge gilt; hinges starting front and rear, o/w clean & tight .

Richmond & Lynchburg: J. P. Bell & Co., 1901 Book. Fair. Hardcover. Stapled w/flexible cloth covered boards, fair+ condition. Staples are detaching from cloth, cloth soiled around edges, inside clean and bright, tissue over front is intact.

First edition, first printing. Book is in Good condition. Cover has some light edgewear, mostly at spine edges, corners bumped. Hinges starting to feel weak. Pages are clean and secure.

Richmond: William F. Ritchie, 1861 Book. Fair. Hardcover. Fair+ leather spine with marbled boards; front gutter split nearly 1/2 way up from bottom and about 1/2" at top; front & rear hinges split but holding well; spine ends chipped, more on top than bottom; corners bumped & rubbed; po name in ink on rep; last 1/3 pages are heavily tanned (appear to be on different paper); 379pp including index plus 73pp appendix of Secret Session April & May 1861.

Cambridge: Charles Folsom, 1836 Book. Good. Hardcover. Vol. 2 of a two volume set of the memoirs of Pellico. very faded brown cloth. Extremeties bumped/rubbed w/bit of fraying to top of spine. Small p.o. inscription dated 1842, light and occasional foxing, o/w clean and bright inside, binding solid..

New enlarged and revised edition.
Only date given in copyright information is 1884, but the publishing company was not known as Lothrop, Lee & Shepard until 1905, so it is that old at most.
Pook is in Good condition. Some foxing in endpapers and title page. Prior owner name in front endpaper. Text pages clean, intact. Page fore edge has a bit of spotting.

Book is in Fair condition, with hinges weak, cover spine seems to have been re-glued to binding at some point. Cover has wear, corners bumped/rubbed. Extensive pen and pencil notes/doodles in endpapers. Top edge corner of front endpaper torn off. First page of Preface has notes around margins. Some notes and underlining throughout, text page notes are less extensive, keep to margins. Some discoloration/smudges on some text pages.

New York: John B. Alden, 1887 Book. Very Good. Hardcover. VG+ corners bumped; very light rubbing at spine ends; external book edges and epp are lightly foxed; clean & tight; apparently scarce.

New York: Cupples & Leon, 1916 Book. Illus. by Gruelle, John B.. Very Good. Hardcover. VG brown boards with pictorials on front board, DJ chipped at extremities (no win protector); gift inscription on front flap of DJ, dated Dec 25, 1924; initial signature shaken but holding. small stain (1/2") near edge of page 10, 26 & 29 o/w clean.

New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1923 Book. Good. Hardcover. front board loose, but attached & not torn; corners & spine ends bumped & rubbed text clean & tight; piece of DJ endflap tipped in on fep; ffep has apparent stamp and a blind stamp, but does not have any other marks indicating ex-library; clean & tight.

First Edition.
Book is in Good condition, with some bumping/rubbing to cover corners. Some sun fading to cover extremities and spine. Wear to spine ends. Small worn spots on cover boards. Small soil mark on rear cover board. Prior owner name in front endpaper. Note written in ink on title page, dated Nov 19th 1864. Some light scattered spotting in pages, and yellowing of extremities, but otherwise clean and secure.

Hardback, brown cloth w/leather spine, fair condition. Corners/edges bumped/rubbed, some writing/old p.o. signature to front and rear epps, leather over spine rubbed, ex-library pocket, slightly cocked, moderate foxing. Text clean, all pages intact.
