The front hinge is completely broken and the rear hinge almost so. The cloth of the spine is split along most of its length where it meets the lower board. The board edges and corners have some wear and both boards have some soil overall. Previous owner's stamp on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are generally clean and unmarked but have tanned along the edges. A young adult adventure story in Swedish. Set in the American West, this is a translation of the German Der Sohn des Bärenjägers by Karl May. Illustrated with five monotone plates. Otherwise, the inside pages are generally clean inside, with edge tanning. An uncredited adventure novel in Swedish possibly intended for youth. The title translates to Among the Slave Hunters and from the black and white engravings it appears to tell a tale of white (English?) men and women and their encounters with African natives and animals. .
