1888. Wonderful photo album titled in gilt lettering "Amherst '88" featuring students, faculty, buildings and classrooms all circa 1888. The name of Arthur D. Osborne is also printed in gilt beneath the cover title. Leather over slightly beveled boards with steel clasp. All edges of the album leaves are gilded. The leather covers are worn with some pieces missing. Lettering on cover remains bright and intact. The steel clasp is a little pitted. Contents are in very good condition, as are all of the photos save for one portrait 4.5 x 6.5 portrait photo that shows some creases. Unfortunately, of the photos examined there were none that identified the subjects.
