Signed by the author in ink on the orange, front free endpaper. With a brief inscription: "For the / Haases / Best wishes, / Herbert's mother, Hazel Wilson." 160 pages. Hardcover, 5.5 by 8.5 inches. Pictorial library binding, but not an ex-library book. Good condition, but some kind of critter has chewed at the upper corners and front fore-edge. No owner signatures, markings or other problems. Sound, tight binding. Scarce with Hazel Wilson's signature, but priced accordingly to reflect condition.

VG with modest wear and signs of age, Some spotting of the page edges, but text clean and unmarked. An unusually nice binding for a book of this type. Evidently one of the special "author's editions" noted by Winthrop University of South Carolina, which houses Christopher's books and papers. No binder's name or other marks. Scarce thus.
