Blue-green wraps. 52 pp. A short history and account of the 11-11-11 Club, a group of World War I veterans that met every year on Armistice Day to celebrate the end of World War I and its veterans. The work is a somewhat humorous, if disjointed, account of the group, accompanied by a lengthy ballad of the group. With a roster of the club, including those deceased, as of 1958. GOOD condition. A few small dark stains to the front cover. Minor fading and edgewear.

No Place: No publisher, 1897. Unbound. Good. 1897 Marksman Pin to Sergt (Sergeant) J.H. Mills. No producer or place. 1897 date inscribed on the reverse. Measures about 1 ½ inches tall by 1 inch wide. Safety pin style back. Three pieces, attached by metal rings. Top two pieces are the same thin banner, reading "marksman, with the bottom piece being some sort of stylized cross formation, with the date 1818 at the bottom, and perhaps an ornate letter L on the other three points. Reverse has 1897 and Sergt J.H. Mills inscribed on it. No indication as to who issued this piece. GOOD condition metal with an overall dark patina, with minor soiling and wear.

A book produced in part for the then upcoming May 16, 1924 Field Day, a gathering of alumni from the Class of 1911 at Yale. Consists mostly of humorous and conversational anecdotes and updates on the lives of the alumni. Two page typed letter recapping the field day laid in. GOOD condition. Heavy toning to the covers, with heavy creasing, chipping and tearing along the extremities. Some toning in the interior.

New York: Schutz Bros., Producer, 1920. Unbound. Very Good. Approximately 1 ¾ inches in diameter. Red, white and navy blue on the face. Stickpin style back (almost lethal in length!). Despite many searches and inquiries to libraries and historical societies, we could not determine what N.A.W.T. stood for. Given that this pinback was issued with the compliments of Schutz Brothers, located at 152 Chambers in New York, NY, it is possible this was issued for a gathering of wood turners, as Schutz manufactured turned and locked corner boxes. Handwriting on the reverse indicates this may have been given out on June 14, 1920. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning and rubbing to the face. Minor rusting to the reverse.

No Place: Socony-Vacuum Oil Company. Wraps. Good. No place or date. Presumed New York, 1945. Illustrated wraps, with the red flying horse logo present on the front cover. 47 pages. Illustrations throughout. A promotional almanac promoting Mobil oil and gas for a variety of uses, accompanied by the usual monthly almanac information. GOOD condition. Wrappers a bit soiled, stained and toned. Minor creasing, tearing and curling to the corners. Faint dampstain present to the upper fore edge in the interior.

Orono, ME: Agricultural Extension Service, Publisher, 1937. Wraps. Good. Photo illustrated wraps. 35 pp. A few line drawings throughout. A basic guide to the various 4-H programs for the clothing project, discussing expectations for the completion of the programs. The work also outlines instructions for making a few garments, including pajamas, and discusses techniques for mending/darning socks, making a French seam, etc. GOOD condition. Moderate soiling to the covers, with some staining. Wraps a bit wrinkled and creased. Some splitting to the head and tail of the spine. Minor toning and minor scattered soiling in the interior.

Boston: Forbes, Presumed Printer. Unbound. Very Good. no date, circa 1918. Single sheet, 8 ¼ by 6 ½ inches. Printed on a single side only. A leaflet presumably issued to honor purchasers of the 4th Liberty Loan, issued to raise money for World War I. The piece depicts a flag with a red border and interior of blue vertical stripes on a white background. "Honor Emblem" below the flag. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning and wrinkling. very small tear near the lower right corner.

A promotional booklet advertising Ford Club Wagons (passenger vans), including conversion vans designed for camping or travel. Including basic specs for the vehicles, as well as optional custom features. VERY GOOD condition. Minor fading and scuffing to the covers. Light edgewear. Minor soiling to the rear cover.

No wrappers.11 pp. A report by the Committee on Indian Affairs, discussing claims made by A.H. Jones and H.M.C. Brown for payment of services. Both were contracted to survey boundaries established by treaties between the US and Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek and Seminole Native Americans. The claimants allege that they were harassed by hostile Native Americans while carrying out their work, thus the time and thoroughness with which they could do the work was affected. The committee saw it otherwise. GOOD condition. Historical society stamp on the rear cover. Minor to moderate toning. Some wear, chipping and creasing along the spine edge.

A monthly almanac with the usual information, issued as a promotional piece for the various patent medicines, oils and syrups produced by A.L. Scovill. Along with ads and testimonials for various products, the almanac also provides several monthly summaries of events and battles in the Civil War. GOOD condition. Minor spotting, toning and soiling to the covers. Pencil inscription on the lower rear cover. Some curling/creasing along the extremities.

Pagination runs 25-71, and is complete within that section, although any preliminaries, preface, title page, and plate are MISSING. A disbound work, consisting of only the three memoirs, and LACKING any text prior to page 25. A work consisting of three memoirs (essays) presenting Bowdoin's thoughts on the properties of light and electricity, as influenced by Dr. (Benjamin) Franklin's observations on light and electrical fluid, as well as light from the sun and stars and a conjecture on how celestial bodies may be preserved from ruin by the law of gravitation. The third memoir, while also examining gravitation as it affects the solar system, contains more theological conjecture than scientific discourse. A detailed examination of the time Abraham Lincoln spent in New Hampshire in 1860 campaigning, in an effort to explore his reception and impressions of people perhaps not accustomed to his style/mannerisms and vice-versa. GOOD condition. Historical society stamp on the inside front cover. No other institution markings present. Uneven browning and fading to the covers. Minor soiling. Interior solid but toned. Minor splitting to the paper along the upper hinges.

Shandaken, New York: Panther Mountain Commune, Publisher. Tabloid. Good. Circa 1970. Tabloid newspaper format. 16 pp, Mostly photos/illustrations, with a few hippie style columns and musings. Not much information about the Panther Mountain commune is available, although it appears to have originated as the Perry Street School in Manhattan, which used a "free range" style education. After some apparent raised eyebrows and comments to various authorities by local citizens, the group moved to upstate New York, becoming the Panther Mountain Commune. GOOD condition, with a horizontal fold crease, moderate browning and moderate to heavy chipping/tearing along the extremities, especially to the lower edge, with a piece almost detached.

Disbound pamphlet. 139 pp, plus 9 unnumbered pages and one blank endpaper in the rear. Contains, as given on the title page: I. A narrative of its rise, progress and decline, with opinions of some medical gentlemen with respect to its origin. II. The manners in which the poor were relieved. III. A list of donations for relief of the sick and indigent. IV. A list of the names of the dead, with occupations. This list also states if the deceased was African-American. V. A comparative view of the fever in the year 1798 with that of 1795. The nine unnumbered pages contain tables of information relating to the fever and its affliction of various groups of people. One side contains a full page advertisement for a high arm Acme Sewing Machine, with two illustrations of the machine, accompanied by extensive advertising copy. The other side consists of an invoice from Sears and Roebuck for an item, with shipping stamps and typical invoice type information. A handwritten date of 1899 is at the top of the invoice, although stamped transit dates given as May 23 9 30 and May 23 10 30. Printed on pink paper. In GOOD condition. One horizontal and several vertical fold creases present. A few small tears present along the extremities, with minor creasing. Some soiling present, mostly along the extremities. A purple ink smudge present at the upper left corner of the sewing machine side, with a few other very small smudges. Moderate uneven fading to the paper.

No Place: No Publisher, 1853. Unbound. Good. Act of Agreement broadside. Single sheet, printed on both sides. Appears dated 1853. Measures roughly 22 by 19 ¾ inches. An agreement between the master and seamen of the ship Meridian, captained by John Manson. With twenty-eight handwritten names of the various crewmembers. Some appear to be in their own hand, although most appear written in the same hand with "his 'x' mark" written in between the first and last names, presumably the marks of those who could not sign their own names. This also provides their stations on board, as well as monthly wages and advance wages paid. Nine crewmembers apparently deserted in Liverpool, England (deserted LP written next to their names) with three others perhaps deserting before setting sail. The Meridian was to leave Boston in July of 1853 and head to St. John, New Brunswick before sailing to Liverpool. Concord, NH: Asa Mcfarland, state Printer, 1847. First Edition. Original Wraps. Good. Original wraps. 10 pages plus wrappers. A speech to the New Hampshire general court by Jared W. Williams, covering such topics as corporations, government involvement with banks and banking, the Republic of Mexico and its acts against the United States, and several paragraphs speaking out against slavery in the United States. In GOOD condition with a 1/2 by 3 inch jagged piece missing from the upper front wrap at the corner. Moderate to heavy uneven darkening to the wraps, with some soiling and very minor foxing. Two pencil NH notations on the front cover. Minor chipping to the upper rear extremity. Interior solid with moderate foxing and minor scattered soiling.

Lacking any wraps that may have been issued. 18 pp. A work addressing the persistence of wars throughout history, despite the strength of Christianity and it being a 'religion of peace.' Gallison touches on the supposed barbarism of ancient Rome and Greece, as well as chivalry and patriotism as causes of wars throughout history, although he seems to give the United States a pass in light of the American Revolution. GOOD condition. Heavy browning, minor scattered foxing present. Inscription across the top of the title page. One small stray pencil note in text.
