Brown boards with gilt title to spine bear a small white mark but overall very good and contents are clean and unmarked. The first book about African cookery which really does belong on a bookshelf and in the kitchen. Cooking ranges from barbecued antelope from Bushmen, to sophisticated pastries developed by Cape Colonists. Not exlib and packed and sent with care.

hardback. Doubleday. UK. 1995. 'Notes from a Small Island' by Bill Bryson. This book is a hardback with dustjacket. First Edition. A handsome copy of this hilarious piece of travel writing. The dustjacket is bright and glossy with very good edges, tips and spine. Not faded. It is neatly price-clipped. The boards are very smart and the contents are clean and unmarked. There is slight age-toning to the pages but all round, this is a good looking copy of Bill Bryson's book. Not exlib and packed and sent with care .

Robert Louis Stevenson wrote 'Travels With A Donkey In The Cevennes' following his trip through this area of South-Central France. The green cloth covered boards bear an impressed decoration to front and titles to spine and front board, are sun-toned to edges and there is a fine split down spine at front. The boards and spine are however solid. Contents: unmarked contents are very good, slight and small area of rub to inner front board. Now protected in clear cellophane wrapper which can be removed.
