Hans-Werner Fischer-Elfert et al., The Deir el-Medina and Jaroslav Černý Collections III: Non-Administrative Ostraca and Papyri, National Museum, Prague 2018 ISBN 9788070365861 / 978-80-7036-586-1softcover, (29,5x21cm), 130 pp., phots, drawings Condition: new
The present book, the third volume in a series dedicated to the publication of the Deir el-Medina materials presently kept in the National Museum – Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures in Prague, deals with the non-administrative (in other words, mostly literary) ostraca and papyri, inscribed in hieratic script. With only some exceptions, most of the ostraca and other items published here are related in some way to Jaroslav Černý, whose life and activities were for several decades closely connected with the workmen's village in the present Deir el-Medina.
