Additionally included is a small broadside featuring Hartmann, and a small tri-fold pamphlet titled "Original Compositions and Transcriptions for Violin" (G. Schirmer Inc, New York, no date.) Hartman studied under the Dutch violinist and composer Martinus van Gelder.

1933. Letter. very good . A 6-line typed letter signed by Francis Yeats-Brown, written to autograph collector Ellis D. Robb thanking him for sending along a clipping of Corra Harris. Yeats-Brown was an officer in the British Indian Army and authro. His memoir, "The Lives of the Bengal Lancer" won the James Tate Black Memorial Prize, and is his best known work. Creased at center, two small brown stains along left side, very good.

Massenet (1842-1912) was a French composer of operas, and Febvre ( 1835-1916) a French actor, and the most popular leading man in Paris during his day. The letter is in French, and roughly translates to - "what a reward for me to be rated so highly by a man of your importance, by the celebrated and incomparable artist, by the man of letters that you also ar! With enthusiasm...thank you! Massenet. I received your wonderful flowers, thank you, dear great friend. J. Massenet." The letter is framed alongside a photo of Massenet. Frame measures 14x18".
