Hollywood, CA, 1930. Letter. Near fine. Two hand written lines of music accompanied by song title and the signature of world-famous violinist Arthur Hartmann. Hollywood, California. March 13, 1930. Additionally included is a small broadside featuring Hartmann, and a small tri-fold pamphlet titled "Original Compositions and Transcriptions for Violin" (G. Schirmer Inc, New York, no date.) Hartman studied under the Dutch violinist and composer Martinus van Gelder.

1903. Letter. Near fine. A 23-line letter signed by British actress Edith Wynne Matthison, regarding an appointment for an interview with a theater magazine. She has signed it with her maiden name, and just below it with her married name - Mrs. C. Rann Kennedy. The letter is dated April 16, 1903. Creased, else fine.

1933. Letter. very good . A 6-line typed letter signed by Francis Yeats-Brown, written to autograph collector Ellis D. Robb thanking him for sending along a clipping of Corra Harris. Yeats-Brown was an officer in the British Indian Army and authro. His memoir, "The Lives of the Bengal Lancer" won the James Tate Black Memorial Prize, and is his best known work. Creased at center, two small brown stains along left side, very good.

n.p. , n.d. . letter. Fine. A 32-line letter signed by German opera composer Giacomo Meyerbeer (1791-1864). Framed in approx 14x18" frame with a photo of Meyerbeer. Meyerbeer was "the most frequently performed opera composer during the 19th century" (Brzoska, 2015).

Paris, 1912. Letter. very good . An 11 line letter signed, from Jules Massenet to Frederic Febvre. Massenet (1842-1912) was a French composer of operas, and Febvre ( 1835-1916) a French actor, and the most popular leading man in Paris during his day. The letter is in French, and roughly translates to - "what a reward for me to be rated so highly by a man of your importance, by the celebrated and incomparable artist, by the man of letters that you also ar! With enthusiasm...thank you! Massenet. I received your wonderful flowers, thank you, dear great friend. J. Massenet." The letter is framed alongside a photo of Massenet. Frame measures 14x18".

New York: James B Kirker, 1863. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. 532p +8 pages of ads. Original period photograph of the author as frontispiece Rebound in blue cloth circa 1950s . According to Howes D289 "publication was intended for 1859 but delayed until 1863 because of the business failure of the original publisher. A portrait is only found in some few copies of the 1863 edition" . The 1954 edition of Howes states that they were 'presentation copies'

Very good. Pencil 6 lines in Pound's usual idiosyncratic style. 8 1/2" x 11" folds, framed, thanking someone and requesting an appearance. Dated "10 Aug"

Jackson,MS, 1953. Fine. 10 lines on plain paper 7"x 6" to author/editor William Rossa Cole at Alfred A Knopf thanking him for a Randall Jarrell
