Regards Lynn" The printed dedication in the book reads : "to Barrett H Clark." Clark's small bookplate is laid into th book. Clark was an exceptionally important figure in modern American drama, aside from writing many books, he served as the longtime literary editor for the publisher Samuel French. Riggs, of Cherokee descent, was the first Native American writer to achieve widespread success as a playwright. This play was later adapted by Rodgers and Hammerstein into their first collaboration, the musical play Oklahoma! Samuel French published both the hardcover and wrappered edition simultaneously.
