RIDER HAGGARD, notable 19th century English novelist -- dated September 27, 1892 on Haggard's own letterhead from Ditchingham House, Norfolk - interestingly, there's an Egyptian cartouche on letterhead (on upper left corner). The letter is presented with 2 early American editions of Haggard's first novels, 'King Solomon's Mines' and 'SHE: A History of Adventure'. These two novels had enormous popularity, and their success led Haggard to serialize both books. 'King Solomon's Mines'- Published by JOHN B.
