Detroit: Harlo Press, 1987. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Brown cloth hardcover in dustjacket. Signed without personalization by the author, "With Best Wishes, Ford R. Bryan" on the half-title page. A very good copy, clean, tight and unmarked. Corners and edges are straight and the text-block edges are clean. The dustjacket has taken much scuffing to the panels and some crinkling and chipping at the edges - not as bright as the book itself. 285 pp., many black and white photos. A history of the famous Ford family of Michigan, gleaned mostly from the archives and museum.

South Carolina: The History Press, 2010. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Signed and inscribed by the author on the title page, "Enjoy the Scoop on Graeter's! - Robin davis Heigel. A good copy but with the front free-endpaper removed - the title page is the first page now. Autographed copy sticker to the front cover and minor wear to the boards. Interior is clean and unmarked in a solid binding. One page with the corner bent/creased. 127 pp., indexed, some photos. A journalistic history of this midwest Ice Cream icon.

Washington DC: Department of the Interior / United States Government Printing Office, 1928. Paperback. Good. Paperback, ex-library in good condition. Library markings include a withdrawn stamp, call number tag, two blacked out sections and a date. Front cover and spine appear to be the only library marked areas. Good in spite of the library markings. Binding solid and without creases - does not lay open. General wear to the cover edges and some sunning to the spine panel. Three maps in the rear pocket and a bump to the lower rear corner. 515 pp., with heavier wear at the index region.

New York: W. W. Norton & Company, 1994. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/good. Signed red and black hardcover 1st in dustjacket. Signed without inscription by the author on the half-title page in blue ink. A very good copy with a bit of wear at the spine tips and a couple discolored spots to the front cover. Interior is clean, tight and unmarked. Dustjacket is good with chips and short tears at the folds and spine ends. 320 pp., indexed, some black and white photos. James Welch, known for his literary fiction, tackles the Little Big Horn.

Wisconsin: Published by the author. Paperback. Good. Blue softcover trade paperback. No indication of date or printing. A good coyp with bending at the corner tips and minor soiling to the light blue covers. Binding is solid and tight, all pages are clean and unmarked other than a signature and date the title page that does not seem to be author-related. 267 pp., author published family history detailing the generations from Germany to Wisconsin.

Chicago: Pioneer Publishing Company, 1915. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Hardbound with leather spine and tips, green boards. No jacket as issued. Volume 1 only of a 2 volume history. Leather heavily rubbed at the corners and joints and worn through to boards at the bottom corners. Long narrow scuff across the front board visible in the photo. Marbled text edges and endpapers. Hinges are solid, but some looseness at the gatherings near the center and final section. All pages intact and still bound in. Previous owner's sticker to the front pastedown, otherwise an unmarked copy. 328 pp., some black and white photo plates. A fascinating local history with chapters on aboriginal inhabitants, public buildings, township histories and church histories. Scarce in its original format.

Nabu Press, 2010. Reprint. Paperback. Very Good. Trade paperback, oversize a Nabu public domain reprint - appears to be an electronically scanned copy of the New York Public Library's holding of the 1913 S.J. Clarke edition. The title page indicates "Volume I" though there is no volume statement on the cover. As is true with many of these scanned replicas, some of the pages are hard to read and the scanning is unclear. A very good copy with wear at the edges and light bending at the corners. Binding is solid with no creases or wide-open sections. Marked at 354 pp. - a solid history of the various townships and the original native peoples - typically poor scan quality, but the original is near impossible to find.

Pennsylvania: The National Historical Society, 1994. Reprint. Hardcover. Near Fine. Blue cloth hardcover, the 1994 reproduction of the 1910 edition, lacking dustjacket. A near fine copy - with owner's name and date neatly to the top of the front endpaper being the only marking. Clean, straight and bright - 542 pp., reissued as part of the "West as it was" series by the Pennsylvania National Historical Society.

Minneapolis: Selbulagets Forlag, 1931. Hardcover. Fair. Brown cloth hardcover, no edition stated, lacking dustjacket. Volume 2 (andet bind) only. A fair to good copy with wear and bending to the corners and spine ends, including some light fraying. Minor soiling and scuffing to the covers. Hinges and binding are solid but lacking in tightness. Previous owner's name to the top of the front pastedown and 1 page of markings to the text. 320 pp., black and white photos throughout with chapters detailing families in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, South Dakota, Idaho, Colorado and Canada.

Nebraska: Sod House Society of Nebraska, 1964. Third printing. Staplebound Wraps. Good. Volume 1 only. Tan paperback, staple bound, in good condition. Minor wear to the cover edges and some darkening to the text-block edges. Binding solid and pages are clean and unmarked. Some black and white photos and a list at rear of contributors to the content. 100 pages.

Minnesota: Ten Mile Lake Association, 2007. First edition. Hardcover. Good. Black pictoral hardcover. Minor wear and light soiling to the covers. Text clean and unmarked, binding solid. This would be a very good copy if not for crinkling from WATER damage - yes, they may have gotten too close to the lake. The pages are dry with no sticking or color loss and no sign of mold or mustiness. The upper edge and final gathering seem to have taken the brunt of the dipping. Still a great local history at 400 pages with black and white photos throughout.
