Description:
London: Headline Book Publishing, 1995. First edition. Hardcover. Good/very good. Blue hardcover 1st in jacket. Signed and dated without inscription by the author on the front free-endpaper in blue ink. A good only copy with heavy wear at the spine ends, a hard bump to the bottom of the front board and a light upward cocking to the bind. Binding is solid but rear hinge is starting to crack. Pages are clean and unmarked. Unclipped dustjacket is much better - very good, bright and attractive, protected in mylar. 374 pp., indexed, three picture inserts, some color. The desperate attempt to save the wild tiger from extinction and Day's daring efforts to expose illegal trafficking in Asia.

Description:
Boston: Faber and Faber, 1991. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Red and gray hardcover in dustjacket - signed and inscribed by the author along with signatures by his wife (Dede Killeen) and daughter (Rara) on the half-title page, "This book is for Keith and Ruth, My Friends. Peter Byrne Feb 1991." In pencil the recipients have added the last name of the couple and a note next to Rara's signature saying she was only 6 years old at the time of signing. A very good copy with minor wear at the corner edges - a clean tight copy - as if unread. One more notation in pencil at rear being the only other writing. Unclipped jacket is also very good with some wear along the top panel edges and light soiling to the panels. 240 pp., some b/w photos - Byrne's return to Nepal - this time not to search for Yeti, but to attempt to draw attention to the plight of the Asian Elephant. This copy came from a home in Hood River, OR where bigfoot researcher Byrne and his family lived for some time.
