Hi, This lot is an Original 1865 Wisden Paperback with facsimile spine, The Second Edition. This is a very scarce Wisden and complete. In Good+ condition, for the year. When I purchased this from Christies a few years back (since then it has been in my own collection until today) the spine was classed as rebacked. Looking at the spine it looks like it is original so I think what has happened is that the paper has been removed, the spine strengthened and then the paper reapplied. A nice spine but some work has happened. The covers are a touch dark with some rounding of corners , this rounding goes into the book. Internally very nice, there are some neat annotations , the only thing about this book is that it is quite small , nothing sinister just how Wisden guillotined them those days. Tightly bound and a very hard year to find in complete form. Condition (Out of 10) = 6

Hi, This lot is an 1865 Wisden , Rebound without the original covers, This rebind is from the K.Auty collection (google K Auty Cricket to see info on the pioneer of cricket in USA and Canada) , his collection is full of beautiful books, we have sold a few (search Auty on the home page and click completed) but alas the first few pages in this book were showing some wear and so I had them proffesionally restored, there are no facsimile pages just touch ups to the first few pages. The book is original. Details of touch ups : Title Page : Laid to card for strength, the reverse in the original is a blank page. Hi, This is a Rebound Wisden, Rebound without the Original Covers within for 1865, scarce year. 2nd Edition. This Wisden is elegantly rebound with a pattern, gilt to the spine that feels great in the hand, a short book as a lot of 1865s are. Hi, This is a Rebound Wisden, Rebound without the Original Covers within for 1866, scarce year. 3rd Edition. This Wisden is bound in green, it was once owned by Roger Hancock as his book plate is to the inside of the binding. This is the only book from the first 15 with a noticeable defect and that is some loss to the title page and a tiny loss to the next one. Nice clean pages afterwards, speckled page block. Hi, This lot is an 1867 Wisden , an original Wisden Rebound without the covers,. This rebind is in Very Good condition, the fourth edition of Wisden. The is bound in red boards with gilt to the spine, the pages are nice and clean, there is some darkness to the pageblock but other than that it is very nice, no trimming to report as plenty of room between the text and the page edges. Hi, This lot is an Original 1870 Wisden Paperback, 7th Edition. It is 100% Original and has had no restoration. This is in Very Good condition, for the year. The covers are in very good condition to the front and rear, minimal marks and spotting. The contents are also very good with clean pages, the page block has some spotting, but not too bad. The main thing to note is the rear cover is starting to come away, if you yanked it hard it would, it is still attached but care is needed , the spine paper is in good order just some loss , for an 1870 it is holding up very well. 1870s are a lot harder to find that 71-73. This is probably £1000 cheaper than it should be, dont let that put you off, I was just fortunate at an auction and passing on the savings. Condition (Out of 10) = 7

The book is in nice green bindings with gilt to the spine, it has a patterned page block, the title page and next 4 pages have some spotting, after that there is only an odd dot here and there , slight trimming to the top but no impact on any text, a nice early Wisden. 1870s are a lot harder to find than 1871/2/3s Condition (Out of 10) = 7
