Past president of the Federation of Canadian Artists - Edwards began painting at age 14, and left Victoria BC at 16 to attend the John Russell Academy of Art. In the '30s he was employed as a fashion illustrator in New York by Saks, Wanamaker's, Macy's and Bloomingdales. His career moved him around the US and Canada operating art galleries and design studios. He reitred on Salt Spring Island BC, where he continued to teach, paint and exhibit until his passing..
