No other issues: tight, complete (with map) and in very good shape for such an old book.Major-General Ashmore was the leading figure in the air defence of the United Kingdom, founding what would eventually become the Royal Observer Corps. He was appointed to devise improved systems of detection, communication and control. A system to be called the Metropolitan Observation Service was created which covered the London area and was known as the London Air Defence Area.On 29 October 1925 the Observer Corps came into official existence. Condition Good: Frontispiece missing, probably rebound, name inside and some inscriptions at front and back, minor worming at upper inner margin. Otherwise the book is remarkably clean and fresh inside, all pages clean without notes or remarks and the binding is solid. The book is protected by a custom-made, gilt titled cloth box.
This posthumous book (published by his nephew) is the final work written by Blagrave who had a profound belief in the virtues of astrology.
