Description:
In this shimmering manifesto against dialectics, Jean Baudrillard constructs a condemnatory ethics of the "false problem." One foot in social science, the other in speculation about the history of ideas, this text epitomizes the assault that Baudrillard has made on the history of Western philosophy. Posing such anti-questions as "Must we put information on a diet?" Baudrillard cuts across historical and contemporary space with profound observations on American corporations, arms build-up, hostage-taking, transgression, truth, and the fate of theory itself. Not only an important map of Baudrillard's continuing examination of evil, this essay is also a profound critique of 1980s American politics at the time when the author was beginning to have his incalculable effect on a generation of this country's artists and theorists.

Description:
Street Farm were an eco-architectural group, including Graham Caine, that was many decades ahead of its time, but also of its time, that put out 2 or 3 issue of a magazine of the same name printed in green ink.. Almost forgotten until the book by Stephen E. Hunt - 'Street Farm' came out in 2014. "The three friends put together Street Farmer, an underground paper that, alongside mutating tower blocks, cosmic tractors and sprouting one-way signs, propagated ideas for the radical transformation of urban living which they called 'revolutionary urbanism'. Taking inspiration from Situationism and social ecology, Street Farm offered a powerful vision of green cities in the control of ordinary people."Replendant in their green overalls they had a unique graphic style and imaginative force. Highly illustrated.I also have a single copy of 'Street Farmer #1'

Description:
Rare 23 ½" x 36 poster by Barney Bubbles. " Existence is Unhappiness" Fold-out Poster. This is a special fold-out section only for the May 1968 Edition of OZ Magazine (#12), the sometimes controversial and always outrageous counter-culture publication from the London Underground Press.
"This sheet is is a dart board - one throws a projectile, or uses a blow pipe with a needle in a fletched cork perhaps, at Donald Duck, then reads off the appropriate codes and learns one's fate. I invented the game and wrote the instructions amongst other things. With post cards by various artists including John Dove's quartet of breasts (lower left, top row, far left). The wheels on left are the landing gear of the TSR2 bomber that my dad worked on, Barney put them in, said, "Here's something for your dad." As others have pointed out the poster is influenced by Paolozzi. But my original drawing, spotted by Barney, was derived from a Paul Klee watercolour of a figure in a skirt, which in turn could be similar to a… Read More

Description:
"TIME, a book of words and pictures by William Burroughs, and with 4 drawings by Brion Gysin." A limited English printing made on a spirit duplicator, a collector has told me, by poet Jim Pennington of Brighton. The original printings by 'C' Press were less than 1000 copies, some signed. These are rare. But for English Burroughs collectors especially, this 'pirate' edition is what circulated in the UK and was influential on the underground circuit. This copy was obtained by me from Unicorn Bookshop who was publishing a book of mine at the time.15 sheets printed on both sides. The soft duplicated sheets are attached with staples along the top edge. Paper is tanned with age. (see 7 photos)
In Reality Studio, Jed Birmingham writes:
"Time is the fullest expression of Burroughs' experimentation with the newspaper and magazine format that is part parody and part critique as well as an expression of a new format and form capable of expressing a greater truth than fiction or journalism separately."
