Berlin: G. Reimer. 1832. 393pp. "Basics of the Lectures on Roads, Bridges, Locks, Canals, Electricity, Dikes, and Harbor Construction; held in the Royal Building Academy from 1824 to 1831". All text is in German. Marbled boards rubbed on the edges. The backstrip has been replaced and a title label pasted on (see pictures). Pages are browning, but the text is still clear. Plate I has been strengthened at the bottom margin; Plate VII strengthened at vertical margin. The 14 plates contain 146 figures. Leaf C-2 (pp. 19/20) professionally repaired with minor text loss (a small chip is missing from one word). This copy is ex.-U.S. Patent Office library. There is a U.S. Patent Office bookplate inside the front cover, and the title page contains a faded ink stamp with the library intake date (Jun. 2, 1883), as well as an embossed Patent Office stamp.
