Hardcover: Near Fine. Auckland: Doubleday Books, 1999. Grey cloth with gold lettering on spine. Small piece of inside cover is raised up. No markings or writing in the book other than inscription, 309 pp. The inscription on the title page reads: "To Ian Todd, Ed Hillary." I believe he is another climber.
The author looks back on his 1953 landmark Everest expedition, as well as his remarkable explorations in other exotic locales, from the South Pole to the Ganges.
