Albany, NY: Backus and Whiting, 1806. First Edition. Full-Leather. Good. Hardcover/ no DJ; about Good condition- esp. for age. Appears to be First American Edition- title page w/ correct publisher (Backus & Whiting, Albany) & date 1806, spine states only Fenelon"". Full leather binding, spine w/ gold gilt decoration, 251 pages, b/w frontis, 6.75"" x 4.25"". Binding shows some soil, edge wear, rubbing, sm. corner bumps- still actually displays fairly well. Hinge cracks to both covers- a bit fragile, but they are still pretty well attached. Ancient ink signature inside front cover & at top margin of title page. Foxing to endpapers, frontis, title page- actual text is relatively bright & free of discolor- maybe minor spotting in some margins. Mild rippling to pages, but no significant signs of moisture & no musty smell. To my mind- a decent example.

Frankfurt am Main: Verlag der Deutschen Corpszeitung, 1926. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 2nd edition/ Auflage. Text in German/ auf Deutsch. Illustrated throughout w/ early engravings, photos & several full color plates of club coats-of-arms (Wappen). 464 pages & approx. 50- 70 pages index, appendices, photos, etc. Appears to be a history of the early period of German university fraternities/ dueling clubs. Dark blue cloth covers w/ gold gilt lettering & coat of arms vignette show only light soil, rubbing & small corner bumps. All lettering & decoration on cover & spine basically crisp & intact. No sun, frays, etc. Owner name in pencil inside front cover, otherwise appears unmarked. Text only very lightly toned; tight, clean. No hinge splits. A very handsome, solid copy. **NOTE: Oversize (10 x 7.5"")

C. 1933 by Simon & Schuster; contemporaneous G & D reprint (DJ notes A Universal Picture With An All Star Cast""- released 1934). Green & white DJ (w/ striking graphics of faces of dazed & confused main story characters) bright & glossy w/ gen. light use; bit of rubbing, soil, edge wear (incl. sm. chips & tears, mostly at top & bottom of spine- part of ""Little"" affected, but not severe- & froldover flaps). DJ still displays very well. Gray cloth binding tight, clean & square; just a bit of edge wear, trace of rubbing. NO bumps, frays, sun, etc. Top edge of text block colored gray. Small green, white & black pastedown title blocks (replicate DJ of original edition) on front & spine are crisp & intact. Again, displays extremely well. DJ has price in English coinage, ""7/6 net"". Map endpapers, frontis, 254 pages & 8 page bound- in publisher's catalog at end. DJ w/ blue front panel bright w/ little use; bit of rubbing, minor edge wear (no chips or tears), light soil on white back panel. NO significant spine discolor- DJ displays very well. Cream cloth binding tight & square w/ light toning (possibly from acid in DJ)- otherwise little to no wear- again, displays very well. All blue lettering on front & spine crisp & intact. Endpapers & text show hint of toning; tight, clean, unmarked. Handsome, well cared- for copy. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
