These are together as a leporello in a blue marbled hardback cover with cloth spine. The cards are bright and fresh, with product details in French to the verso of each card. Excellent condition. The boards, although clean and strong, have some fading to the spine. Dated from the style of the artwork. Raymond Gabutti (active 1937-1974) was primarily a film production designer, but also provided advertising artwork. The spine has darkened so that the title is illegible (no gilt, if ever any, remains). Internally clean and tidy throughout, with a touch of darkening to the pages only. The photo-book Published in collaboration with Tel Design, Koninklijke Drukkerij GJ Thieme Nijmegen and Kadee Delft. 24 black and white photographs printed on glossy photo paper. To the rear of each are the details about the subject, the scene and those who participated. A fascinating concept in photography. A complex scene is set up - and the central subject is blind folded and brought into the scene. The blindfold is then briefly removed - and the photograph taken. They are then apparently blind folded again, and only see what was really there when the photograph is produced. Very good condition.

Paris: Polydor Paris / Verve, 1982. A beautiful collection. Five vinyl LP records of Fitzgerald singing Gershwin songs. Each LP is held in a sleeve with an original lithograph cover by Bernard Buffet. The records are then held in a box with song details to the rear, and a repeat of the first lithograph. In practically as new condition. Fractional evidence of handling. The records all appear fresh and unscratched, but have not been tested / played by us. In 1959, this collection was produced by Verve of Paris. Buffet was commissioned to create original designs for the records, and music was sung by Ella Fitzgerald, with an orchestra conducted by Nelson Riddle. This copy is the second edition / Polydor Re-issue from 1982. The records and lithographs have been replicated from the original verve publication. (There was a text book that accompanied the original issue - this was not part of this Polydor re-issue). Complete and as issued. There is also light water marking to the front board. Internally the book is clean and tidy throughout, with just a touch of foxing to the pages. . Original cream covered paper covers over cream boards. Titles to both boards and wrapper. There is a frontis photograph of Gilbey at work, and a facsimile of a letter from the Apostolic delegate with a message from the Pope accepting the dedication of the book to him. This book comprised the collected poems from Gilbey's six earlier volumes, and an additional 40 poems included here. Captain Jack (John Newman) Gilbey b.1888 was the older brother of Alfred Newman Gilbey, RC priest and long-time Catholic chaplain of Cambridge University.
