The principal work on the subject. Mivart was professor of botany and zoology at Kensington Roman Catholic University College in London. Fabulously illustrated.
Condition: Varying shades of toning to cloth, some staining to rear cover; hinges repaired, signatures separating a bit internally; light foxing; very good.
