Description:
“Anchorage, Alaska”: Publication Consultants, 8/1/13. First Edition. Perfect Bound. Like New/Like New. “Alaska Hunting: Earthworms to Elephants, a collection of 39 stories, is intended to be seasoning for a Hunters’ pie, rural Alaska style. Most hunters extol the charismatic mega fauna, but pursuit of lesser game often takes center stage. Occasionally hunting discoveries lead to other endeavors, from jade mining to gold prospecting and fossil recovery. Possibilities are limitless. As we engage in hunting and fishing pursuits memories are laced with the big ones—the exceptional, genetically endowed giants—but some of the brightest memories are of average representatives of their species. What made them so memorable was the combination of circumstances under which they were taken—or lost. Companions, whether human or animal, often make the hunt memorable and its recollections of trophy quality.”

“Anchorage, Alaska”: Publication Consultants, 9/15/14. First Edition. Perfect Bound. Like New/Like New. “You should buy this book. It will make you laugh. It is full of stories you’ll want to read again, and again. You’ll tell your friends about it. Thinking about it will make you smile during boring meetings. People will wonder what you are up to. On a bad day, when you’ve screwed up at work, your wife is mad at you, and the kids are sick, this book will give you half an hour’s respite. It will take you to a place of adventure, danger, and humor, all woven together by one larger than life character. I had to get all that down fast, because it’s important. I’m not a writer, and I don’t know how long I can hold your attention. Dr. Larry GatesThe stories in this collection are true. In some instances, the names have been changed to protect the innocent and the not so guiltless. With most days of the past forty-seven years spent in Alaska, the thirty-six stories in this collection…

“Anchorage, Alaska”: Publication Consultants, 4/1/10. First Edition. Perfect Bound. Like New/Like New. “Many books have one story, one journey. For Book of Masks, however, not everything is as it seems. Though this is one book, there are five stories, five different journeys. Alex is a misunderstood kid, but so is Will, Brian, Hunter, and Danny. Each of them must find solutions to their issues and do so both through personal action and through the help of some mystical characters, including Father Christmas. With faith and magic, these kids will see beyond the darkness of their own pain and beyond their masks into the world around them. Whether you relate to the misunderstood, the misunderstanding, or the guiding friends of these stories; perhaps this book will help you to look beyond the masks. Not everything is black and white, good and evil. Sometimes there are shades of gray. Sometimes there is more than just a mask and more than just a story. “

“Anchorage, Alaska”: Publication Consultants, 1/1/18. First Edition. Perfect Bound. Like New/Like New. “A war had broken out in America concerning the safety and the right to practice magic freely. Magical bloodlines and magical roots were guarded by families and practitioners with their lives. Those guardians who kept the secrets of sorcery and spells for generations were now called to defend the very elements and doctrine that made them who they were. A final quest and confrontation would be necessary to gain liberation once and for all for those who practiced magic. The fight for the School of Modern Magic, and the American soil that it was founded upon was now inevitable. Professor Apollo, Head Master of the School of Modern Magic, would build himself an army, recruiting the most powerful students of magic that the world had ever seen. They would be the army to defend the school and America itself from the forces of darkness who threatened it.

“Anchorage, Alaska”: Publication Consultants, 12/1/18. First Edition. Perfect Bound. Like New/Like New. “As the descendant of early miners, a grandfather who prospected for gold in the Fairbanks area in 1908 and a father who mined from the 1920s through the early 1940s, my interest and fascination with Frederick Currier’s manuscript was easily spiked. Currier’s quest for gold from 1893 into the 1900s was an admirable pursuit. His account of prospecting ventures in 1898 on the Chena River near Fairbanks is spellbinding, especially in his use of a sternwheeler and his building of cabins as he prospected toward the headwaters. I have great admiration for the early gold prospectors like Frederick Currier since I have sunk a couple of shafts to bedrock with a windlass and know the effort and determination required. The power of a few nuggets can change a person’s direction in life. Currier’s, An Alaskan Adventure, is well worth reading—more than once.

“Anchorage, Alaska”: Publication Consultants, 6/1/12. First Edition. Perfect Bound. Like New/Like New. “Welcome to Beaver Village Pit in Alaska, where botanist Kenai Cranston searches for extinct plants within the frozen tundra of The Last Frontier. During his research Cranston discovers seeds from the Garden Of Eden’s Tree Of Life. The tree’s seeds are stolen and the fight for the fruit is the beginning of what could become World War III. The Lost Tree takes an intensely personal look at a wide range of human relationships and personality extremes. Characters run from outrageously callous to the extremely tender. The story chronicles senseless human greed mixed with the humor of trying to obtain excessive wealth. Great care is shown in closely tracking mankind’s history, while suggesting possible earthly and heavenly mechanisms, which could have been used in generating that history. The Lost Tree Of Life is a fictional account of what may have been going on behind the scenes during some…

It grew out of hearing and reading thoughts and tinkering with the words they came in, and from streamlining countless manuscripts–fiction, academic papers, articles, instruction manuals, reports, and commercial copy–in happy pursuit of the winning word and the singing sentence. Everybody writes. Write & Wrong is for you if you want to take your writing up a level or two–if you write because your job, your grade, or your degree depends on it. It is especially for you if you write when you don’t have to.”
