3pp. Rare original 1908 Duke of York's Theatre programme for 'What Every Woman Knows' - A Comedy in Four Acts by J.M Barrie. Date code 25/9/08 to upper margin. Good+ condition with vertical folds. An early programme from the first production of this play which opened at the Duke of York's Theatre on the 3rd September 1908. Cast; Gerald du Maurier, Henry Vibart, Sydney Valentine, Edmund Gwenn, Hilda Trevelyan, Norman Forbes, Mrs Tree, Lillah McCarthy, Madge Murray.

Printed date code "13.7.94", with neatly handwritten date "July 94" to the front. Very Good condition. Cast; E.S Willard, H. Cane, Hugh Harting, G. Canninge, Bessie Hatton, Bassett Roe, Keith Wakeman, Nannie Craddock, Royce Carleton, F.H Tyler, Messrs Moore and Maxwell etc.

Undated (c 1935). Illustrated with 442 line illustrations. Good condition, with patchy fading to lower cover / spine no inscriptions. In Fair original dustwrapper which has completely split / separated at the spine, with loss to spine head and tail. Rarely seen in 1st Edition state in original dustwrapper.

348pp. Frontispiece portrait of Aloys Senenfelder, (inventor of lithography)+xv+348 (328 to end being adverts etc.), 119 further figures, several full page, 2 fold-out). Near Very good condition. Mild fading to spine. Corners bumped. Blank front endpaper neatly removed. Occasional ink annotations to the text/margins. The author was Instructor in Lithography at The Royal Technical College, Glasgow. A thorough account of all aspects of lithographic printing technology and techniques, down to training of apprentices. The author comments in the introduction that the lithographic trade had reached a critical position ten years previous but changes in machinery, processes and chemical aspects had brought about a revival. This manual describes the changes. Relevant advertisements bound to rear of book.

56pp. Photographic frontispiece of Mynachlog Glyn y Groes (Valle Crucis Abbey) + 7 further photographic plates by Pryse M. Lewis (All 8 plates present and correct as called for). Good+ complete condition with light foxing, mainly to prelims. Text in Welsh. Inscribed by the author inside the front cover "Mr E. Edwards with best wishes from L.J Roberts Christmas 1904".

1st Printing with correct numberline 1-10. 368pp. Very good in very good dust jacket. Signed by author. Handsigned by the author to the title page (no inscriptions). Printed on papier vergé with untrimmed page edges.The Other World: Comical History of the States and Empires of the Moon was the first of three satirical novels written by Cyrano de Bergerac. It was published posthumously in 1657 and, along with its companion work The States and Empires of the Sun, is considered one of the earliest published science fiction stories.

Very Good, clean, tight condition with no inscriptions. Small patch of sunning to upper cover associated with dustwrapper loss. In Good original dustwrapper whith section of loss to upper front, and small chip to spine. 36pp. Tipped in b/w full portrait frontis and numerous uncredited line illustrations. Clean wholesome humour from Sir James Taggart ex Lord Provost of Aberdeen who as a platform orator was known at the time as Scotland's Prince of Story Tellers. Scarce to find in 1st edition in original dustwrapper.

Foreword by Jeremy Sandford. Afterword by Juliet Jeffery. This first edition has been signed by the illustrator, Juliet Jeffery, who has provided all the original art for the poems by the gypsy poet, Lavengro. Her art captures the spirit and her delight in the gypsy life style.

With a couple of pen corrections which may or may not be authorial. Undated, but c1959.

Illustrated by WE Johns who was later to create 'Biggles'. Though no publisher is stated, these were published by WE Johns' "Aircraft & General Fine Art Company" in East Grinstead, Sussex.
